The Annual Programme Report: the follow-up procedure
In November each year, the Institution is required to return a completed Annual Programme Report, APR, for each accredited programme to the ECBE Director of Accreditation.
- If ECBE’s BoC grants / extends accreditation for a shorter period, and imposes deadlines for the removal of the identified inconsistencies, the institution must, within six months of receiving the ECBE’s “Decision letter”, draw up a plan to remedy these non-compliances. The plan should include:
- measures and related tasks to eliminate inconsistencies;
- the persons/bodies responsible for implementing these measures and tasks;
- the exact deadlines for the implementation, taking into account the time limits imposed in the “Decision letter”.
The plan should be sent to the Director of Accreditation.
In the period up to the re-accreditation, the institution must keep ECBE informed about the progress, through its Annual Programme Reports (APRs).
- If ECBE grants / extends accreditation for a period of 5 years, the follow-up evaluation is carried out through the Annual Programme Reports (APRs) which the institution prepares and provides to ECBE once a year (by the end of November). APR is not considered as the evaluation of compliance to the ESG standards. The purpose of this follow-up is to engage the institution into continuous reflection about the quality of their services. The APR is expected to address the recommendations given by the BoC in the “Decision letter”.
APRs of an accredited Member are reviewed and a short summary is prepared. After review by the BoC, it is used as a basis for the response to the institution. The communication is done by the Director of Accreditation.
