Having completed his Bachelor’s degree in Russian Language and Culture at Durham University in the United Kingdom, Ashley Whitfield moved to Krasnoyarsk in Russia, where he has been working as a senior lecturer in Business English and Cultural Studies at the Reshetnev Siberian State University of Science and Technology for the last seven years.

Ashley’s academic interests range from linguistics and culturology to mathematical modelling, and he is currently completing a Master’s degree in Systems Analysis with his research focussed on text mining. Ashley has been involved in the organisation of a number of international conferences and events promoting interest in foreign languages.
